It’s in everyone’s best interest that both the client and the creator know what’s what. For this reason, we want to be as transparent as possible and explain what your new website includes – and what it doesn’t. What do additional services cost, and what extra expenses might come up? How are problem situations handled, and who is responsible for what? How will the project progress, and how much wine should we stock up on?

General Questions

Many kinds! The most affordable level, BASIC, is intended for customers who want their basic information online in a modern, high-quality way and prefer to do it themselves. Alternatively, you can leave the entire website creation to us, whether it’s a small or extensive site, regardless of the industry.

A basic website can be ready quite quickly: 3–5 days after ordering. In practice, however, we usually allow 2 weeks for website creation, which in our experience is a realistic timeline. The schedule depends on factors such as the readiness of materials, customer requests, and our workload.

A website needs hosting to function: hosting is like the plot for a house, and the domain is the address of that plot. There are many service providers: good, mediocre, and poor. We can recommend a few reliable options and help with the choice. If you already have a provider, we can either switch to another one or keep the site with the current provider.

You can get a domain from the same provider as your hosting. We can help with this purchase if you don’t already have a domain. If you already have one, we’ll show you how to connect it to your new site.

You pay separately for the domain and hosting: a domain costs around €15 per year and hosting €8–20 per month, depending on the package and provider. These costs are paid directly to the provider you choose.

Optional additional services also incur extra costs; these are priced separately, and you can select only the ones you need for your site.

  • Technical installation work, traffic setup with your chosen provider, and WordPress with its standard theme.
  • Acquisition of domain and hosting if needed (note additional hosting cost).
  • Installation of essential plugins.
  • Customization of your site’s colors and logo according to your business. Up to 6 ready-made page templates (using either your content or placeholder “Lorem Ipsum”).
  • Contact page with your details included.
  • Google Analytics linked to your Gmail account.
  • Basic content creation instructions.
  • Support during the project.
  • Linking social media accounts (if available).

The order does not include the domain and hosting. It also does not include image editing, text creation, or the production of banners or other visual elements. Endless tweaking and “maybe this would look better” adjustments are not included either. We assist with initial technical matters, but the package does not include ongoing technical support such as email setup or security updates. The idea is that the client finalizes the website themselves OR purchases finalization as an additional service.

The website is paid by invoice (PDF, paper, or electronic), and a business ID is required. The first installment is 50% of the total and must be paid before work begins. The remainder is due when the website is ready for launch, but no later than 1 month after work starts. Payment term: 7 days.

 

Hosting usually includes a certain number of email accounts. Your provider will give instructions for creating and setting up mailboxes.

We recommend that the business email be set up using Office365. Microsoft 365 is a cloud service combining Office apps, powerful cloud services, device management, and advanced security.

Absolutely! In such a case, it’s best to sit down together over a cup of coffee and plan the structure of your site in advance.

Remember, a website is always a project. You cannot simply publish it and let it run itself.

Maintain your site and keep it up to date both technically and content-wise. This way, you get the best return on your investment.

Also, remember that you create the website for the user, not yourself. Be clear, reliable, and professional in your information. Think about what your visitors are looking for on your site and the impression you want to give them about your business.

Content of the website

You can add various sections to your pages, such as image galleries, blog pages, a Facebook plugin, or an image carousel. You can get these as an additional service, or alternatively, you can expand your website yourself. Doing it yourself requires a bit of practice, but it is definitely doable.

Yes. There are separate plugins available for this purpose. You can either install the plugins yourself or request this as an additional service from us.

Content refers to the text and images that appear on your website. This includes all headings, body text, and images. Content creation also involves proofreading, styling headings, and creating a search engine–friendly structure. Essentially, content is all the information on your website. It’s worth investing in content creation, as well-crafted content benefits both search engines and your customers.

If the content is truly ready and fits the website’s structure, we can add it at the same price. Please note that content from old websites may not seamlessly fit the new page layout. Often, text needs to be adjusted or reorganized. We will evaluate your prepared content and let you know if any parts do not fit.

Your website should feature high-quality, clear, and illustrative images. If your camera roll is full of blurry or off-angle photos, using a stock image library might be a good idea. Stock images can be downloaded for a fee. We can provide more information about stock images, and we also have a large selection of images available. Please do not use other people’s images from the internet without permission.

Yes. You can also upload Office documents, videos, images, and other common file formats to your website.

Yes. Videos can be embedded from services like YouTube or Vimeo. If you have your own videos, it’s best to upload them to your company’s YouTube or Vimeo account first. From there, you can get an embed code for your website, and video streaming will work best through these platforms.

WordPress is relatively easy to use, although it may take some time to get used to it at first. The interface is in Finnish, and you will always see your editing menu on the left side. You can easily install various plugins to add new features to your site.

For our WordPress installations, we use the Elementor page builder. Elementor is a drag-and-drop system where you can see what you’re doing in real time. The standard editor, on the other hand, is more like Word, and changes must be previewed separately.

There are excellent guides available on Google for using WordPress and Elementor.

NOTE: Like all content management systems, WordPress requires regular updates. Updating is simple, but neglecting it may cause the website to stop working, or in the worst case, the hosting provider may shut it down. Keeping the website up to date is the client’s responsibility.

If you have materials you want to use for the website project, the easiest way to send them to us is via WeTransfer.

You can of course send texts and smaller documents by email, but if you have many images or videos, you can transfer your files to us using the free WeTransfer service at: https://www.wetransfer.com/

Support and liability questions

You do! We do not retain any ownership of the website; all materials remain in your possession. You’ll receive the main credentials to your site, letting you manage it like a queen! Or a king… or a royal person.

The client is responsible for ensuring the legality of the materials and that they comply with good practices and the law. The client is also responsible for updating and backing up the website after publication. The creator is not responsible for any potential data breaches, functionality issues, or outages after publication. We are also not responsible for third-party issues, such as service provider outages.
